Quentin Blake's marvellous artwork has now been applied to our Ecuador Book Bus in preparation for the launch in January.

The Bus will begin operations in the Amazon Jungle visiting schools and communities spreading the joy of reading and story-telling.

For the second year running, the Book Bus Foundation came away with first prize for the Best Small Stand at the forum3 charity and volunteer event.

A once in a lifetime trek to the top of Africa's highest mountain

Join us on this life changing experience to the "Roof of Africa", the highest free-standing mountain in the world (at 5,895m), and help raise much-needed funds for the Book Bus Foundation.

The Book Bus project is spreading its wings and crossing the Atlantic to set up the Book Bus in Ecuador. We are planning to start our Book Bus project in Ecuador in November 2009 in the coastal fishing village of Puerto Lopez.

Working in a new continent, a new country and in a new language will bring on all sorts of new challenges but the experience we have gained in Africa coupled with VentureCo’s 20+ years of operational experience in South America gives our New World project every chance of success.

We have developed the Book Bus Ecuador project in association with BISEE Books and will operate in country with project partners VentureCo and Ecuador Tierra Viva. The Book Bus foundation is grateful to the Cheltenham Ladies’ College whose generous donation this year has contributed greatly to the initiation of our Ecuador project.
